The Chorale was organized in 2018 in Newport Beach, California with an initial ensemble of 60 voices. The Chorale has since grown to over 120 dedicated singers from around Southern California, providing the county and its audiences with an accomplished symphonic chorus.

Membership includes alumni from Vanguard University, Orange Coast College, Saddleback College, Westmont College, Chapman University, Biola University, the University of California, Irvine, and many local evangelical churches.

Today, as an independent non-profit organization, the Chorale pursues its mission through concerts of sacred choral masterworks at the highest level of excellence; premiers and commissions new works, supports the creative and artistic lives of singers in all stages of life; and reaches into the community “across borders” to bring the joy and power of live performance to as many people of all ethnicities as possible.

Members must uphold a firm commitment to the Chorale’s mission, to its Artistic Director, and to its Board. Members are expected to commit to the entire season of concerts and rehearsals.

Our Mission

The mission of the Coastal California Chorale is to promote and celebrate the art of choral music through performance and education, emphasizing sacred Christian music, serving diverse audiences both locally and internationally, from the underserved to major venues.
